How do we counsel?
As members of the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC), we offer distinctly biblical counseling rooted in the gospel of Jesus. Because all human struggles flow from a broken world and a fallen nature, lasting change begins with the good news of Christ’s death and resurrection. As we trust His work, we are forgiven, accepted, made new, and equipped to walk in hope. Our aim is to help you apply the beautiful work of Christ to your struggles so that you can experience lasting change through the gospel.
Biblical counseling is practical and effective. While we do emphasize the spiritual aspect of human struggle, we know humans are physical, emotional, cognitive and relational beings as well. To maximize the potential for change, we generally give you reading and journaling assignments in-between sessions.
Biblical counseling is different from other types of counseling. Our goal is growth in likeness to Jesus Christ through a compassionate and loving counselor aided by the local church and all-powerful Holy Spirit. Amy Morello is a gospel-centered biblical counselor certified by the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC). She brings warmth, discernment, and gospel-rooted wisdom to her counseling work. In addition to counseling, Amy serves in the women’s ministry at her church. She and her husband, Brad, have been married for 26 years and have three adult children.
Brad Morello, PhD is a gospel-centered biblical counselor with over 28 years of ministry and counseling experience. He holds a PhD from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and is certified by the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC). Brad worked in cross-cultural ministry in China for more than a decade and now serves as a pastor and elder at his church, C3 Houston. He is known for his clear, thoughtful counsel and his firm yet compassionate approach to helping others apply Scripture to life’s challenges.
